Athletics Day

Athletics day was held on Wednesday 28 February. It was a fiercely fought competition with the best participation for a number of years. This resulted in only 30 points separating 2nd-4th place in the Whanau competition. It was great to have a number of Whanau and community members come down to support.

Two records were broken on the day. Dylan Te Kura Bishop broke her own shot put record pushing it out to 11.75m. Tui Wikohika and Mason Richards both broke the Junior Boys 300m record of 49.57s held by J Matete since 2012. Mason will go down in the records with his time of 46.47s.
